A joint meeting was organized by the Bhilwara Police Administration and the Bal va Mahila Chetna Samiti to ensure effective implementation of the Rajasthan Witchcraft Prevention Act, 2015. The meeting was chaired by District Superintendent of Police Mr. Dharmendra Singh.
On this occasion, SP Mr. Dharmendra Singh emphasized the seriousness of Witchcraft cases in the district. He instructed the launch of a special public awareness campaign and the issuance of a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for all police stations. He stressed the importance of strict adherence to the law.
Mrs. Tara Ahluwalia, President of Bal va Mahila Chetna Samiti, addressed the meeting and shared insights on the current status of Witchcraft in Bhilwara district, the condition of women affected by it, and the efforts made by the organization so far. She highlighted the severe social consequences of this malpractice and appealed to all officials to act with sensitivity and urgency.
This meeting marked a significant step at the district level towards administrative awareness and coordination on such a sensitive issue, paving the way for better justice for the victims.
The meeting was attended by Additional SP Mr. Paras Jain, all police station in-charges (SHOs and CIs) of the district.
