The closing ceremony of a free tailoring training program—organized jointly by the Bal Va Mahila Chetna Samiti and the Association for India’s Development—was held in Bigod. The program was designed for young women from the unorganized sector and underprivileged families, particularly those from beedi (hand-rolled cigarette) worker households. Certificates were awarded to all trainees who successfully completed the course.

Speaking on the occasion, the organization’s President, Tara Ahluwalia, stated that skill development is a powerful means of empowering women and young women to become self-reliant. She urged the trainees to utilize the skills they had acquired for self-employment and to improve their families’ economic well-being. She added that the organization would continue to conduct such training programs for girls in need in the future.

During the event, trainees shared their experiences, describing the training as useful and employment-oriented. Finally, certificates were distributed to all participants.

Also present on the occasion were organization team members Bhawana, Preeti, Aahuti, Rinku Singh, Shyam Lal, Parmesh, and Vishal; community leaders Mehraj and Zulekha; and tailoring instructor Tamanna.
