Bal Va Mahila Chetna Samiti organized a workshop aimed at promoting legal literacy among the youth. In this workshop, young individuals were educated about the Constitution, laws, and their rights, empowering them to become aware and active participants in addressing social issues.
Address by the President
The workshop was presided over by the committee’s president, Tara Ahluwalia, who emphasized the importance of legal literacy for the youth. She highlighted that in today’s world, knowledge of the law is essential not only for personal safety but also for bringing about social change. She urged the youth to apply legal knowledge in their daily lives and to spread awareness within society.
Thoughts from the Activists
Committee activists Parmesh Dev and Bhavna Joshi also shared their views during the workshop.
Parmesh Dev explained to the youth that the law is not confined to courts but is also connected to their everyday lives. Through examples, he demonstrated how a common citizen can protect their rights and raise their voice against injustice.
Bhavna Joshi shed light on the legal rights of women and children, emphasizing that they need to be aware of their rights to live with equality and dignity in society. She also noted that only through legal literacy can we bring positive changes in society.
