On Wednesday, March 25, the Bal va Mahila Chetna Samiti organized a grand event titled the ‘Struggling Women’s Honor Program’ at the Gramin Haat in Bhilwara city. This event has been held continuously since 2013. Once again, during this year’s program, ten women who have performed remarkable work in various fields were honored. The women honored included Asha Sahu (Sports), Ashwini Bishnoi (Wrestling),Jijivisha Joshi (Writing), Kali Keer (Social Change), Kanchan Bala (Para-swimming), Mahi Patriya (Education), Maya Bairwa (Education), Meraj Banu (Community Change), Priyakshi Agarwal (Art & Culture), and Rajkumari Chaudhary (Self-defense Training).

During the program, all the honored women shared stories of their struggles, challenges, and achievements, which served as an inspiration to the participants in attendance. Their experiences conveyed the message that, despite difficult circumstances, success can be achieved through sheer determination. In his address, the Chief Guest, retired Justice Shivkumar Sharma, stated, “Women are the true force for change in society. When a woman moves forward, the entire society progresses. Such recognition programs serve as a source of inspiration for the new generation.”
At the commencement of the program, the organization’s President, Tara Ahluwalia, delivered a welcome address in which she highlighted the objective of the event, stating, “Our endeavor is to provide a platform to those women in society who have carved out an identity for themselves through their own efforts, even amidst adverse circumstances. These women are the true inspiration for change.” Also present at the event were the organization’s Vice President Shiv Lal, Secretary Sheeba John, Joint Secretaries Hemlata Agnani, Sunita Khabya, and Sirajuddin Ansari, as well as Fellow Afroz, along with the organization’s volunteers—Bhavna, Parmesh, Vishal, and Shyamlal.
