A Free Tailoring Training Center for the daughters of women workers from the unorganized sector was inaugurated in Suwana under the joint initiative of Bal Va Mahila Chetna Samiti and the Association for India’s Development (AID). The initiative aims to equip young girls from economically disadvantaged families with vocational skills, enabling them to become self-reliant and improve their livelihood opportunities.
Mrs. Tara Ahluwalia, President of Bal Va Mahila Chetna Samiti, informed that the selected participants will undergo 45 days of free tailoring training. During the program, the trainees will receive both basic and practical instruction in tailoring, helping them develop skills that can lead to self-employment or better employment opportunities in the future.

She emphasized that skill development is not only a pathway to employment but also a powerful tool for building confidence and empowering young women socially and economically. The organization is committed to ensuring that daughters of unorganized sector workers receive practical vocational training alongside education so they can contribute to their families’ financial well-being.

Bal Va Mahila Chetna Samiti has been actively working in the areas of education, skill development, women’s empowerment, and livelihood promotion. This training center is another significant step toward creating sustainable opportunities and bringing positive change to the lives of young women in the community.
